What is Your "Something"?

One of my favorite phrases in the Bible is, “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…” (Rev. 12:11)

We can conquer our enemy the devil in two ways:
1. By the blood of Jesus.
2. By speaking out (and living out) the truth of our testimony.

I love the definition of testimony (Google):
“evidence or proof provided by the existence or appearance of something.”

Do our lives show clear evidence of Jesus by the appearance of something in our lives?

What is that “something” God is stirring around in your heart?

What is God asking you to do?

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. - James 1:22 (ESV)

We are not saved by what we do. We are saved by the blood of Jesus. But God has a specific assignment for each of us to do, and a specific time to carry it out.

I believe God is asking me to start by writing out my testimony. The second part of this process (that will include parts of my testimony as well as the testimonies of others) will be writing a Bible study. The study will include the three main topics of identity, emotional healing, and discipleship.

I’m sharing this with you for both accountability reasons and because I will be sharing small clips of my writing with you for feedback over the next months.

I am both terrified and totally excited.

For you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. - Malachi 4:2 (NIV)

I believe writing this study is part of my healing journey, part of my ministry, and also…I pray, an encouragement for you.

If you are an imperfect wife, mom, daughter, or friend, struggling to stay focused on God in the craziness and find joy in the heartache, then we have something in common. I am a recovering perfectionist and daughter of the King, slowly learning to fully trust the One who sees me just as I am, and is already pleased. I’m so glad you are here.
