Welcome Friend!

I’m so glad you are here.

No one can avoid rain. It just comes, brief and torrential, or sometimes it feels unending with deep and rising waters. Sixteen years of infertility, three miscarriages, three adoptions, a child with autism, two children with life threatening food allergies, anxiety, depression and joy-stealing loneliness are examples of “rain” I have encountered. Some of the rain I welcomed as part of the process of refining my faith, but some rain I didn’t think I was going to survive.

God has used my life experiences to transform me, step by painful step. I am learning to live in freedom and to pursue the “dance” that God has always dreamed for me, even when it means dancing in the rain. God has taken my mess, and has redeemed it, using it for His mission and purpose for my life. My desire is to come alongside women who have been devastated by the “rain” in their lives and encourage and teach them not only how to survive, but thrive, when the rain comes.

Sometimes it takes rain for a woman’s parched and cracked heart to become soft and pliable, to reach the full potential that God always intended for her, to find a place of abundance, joy, and soul satisfaction. And when that part of a woman’s soul is awakened by Jesus Christ, I believe she becomes an unstoppable force.

I can’t say yet that I invite the rain to come. But I now see the transforming work the rain has done in my life and in my heart. My relationship with Jesus and with those I love most is forever changed. And for that I am grateful.

If the Lord had not been on our side – the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, the raging waters would have swept us away.
-Psalm 124:1,4-5

I also want to introduce the new Facebook page for my writing: /OneRainDancer.

Would you consider helping me encourage more people by taking a moment to like and/or share my new page?

And now, the best for last: Our Adoption Story Video!

I love sharing our adoption story. I have written about my three children’s adoption, but I thought a video would be an amazing and powerful way to honor them as well. God has been so faithful, and we are so grateful.

I hope it brings you encouragement and joy today.

Blessings,

Tammy

If you are an imperfect wife, mom, daughter, or friend, struggling to stay focused on God in the craziness and find joy in the heartache, then we have something in common. I am a recovering perfectionist and daughter of the King, slowly learning to fully trust the One who sees me just as I am, and is already pleased. I’m so glad you are here.
