I Need Your Help!

If you have read any of my blog posts over the last several months, you know God has been teaching me truth about what true rest looks like. I am still learning, but God recently laid it on my heart that this message of true rest is a message He wants me to continue sharing with others. I believe our hearts are crying out for rest; we just don’t know what that even looks like, and we sure don’t know how to get there....

I have a couple of questions that I would really value your input on regarding rest…would you take a few minutes to answer these 6 questions for me? If you leave a comment below AND answer the survey questions, you will automatically be entered into a drawing for a book bundle I’m giving away!

Thanks again for taking the time to answer these questions! I will notify you if you win the giveaway!

A point of truth I learned this week about rest:

It’s okay to share your story even when it’s not finished; even when it’s still a mess. When you feel freedom to share with others and be vulnerable with them, it brings freedom and tears down walls of miscommunication that often leaves the other person feeling incompetent. It says, “I don’t have it together either, but that’s okay because we serve a God who always has it together.” This in itself brings peace and rest. It takes away the striving, the proving, the driving ourselves crazy trying to look a certain way to others. When we share our true hearts (mess and all), it invites God into the situation - and we find rest, because we know that He’s got us.

Lord, would you show me what and how to write about rest? Would you show me how to help others find rest by finding You? Would you show me what would break through to the heart of the problem, just as you did for me? Amen.

If you are an imperfect wife, mom, daughter, or friend, struggling to stay focused on God in the craziness and find joy in the heartache, then we have something in common. I am a recovering perfectionist and daughter of the King, slowly learning to fully trust the One who sees me just as I am, and is already pleased. I’m so glad you are here.
