A Song for Us Rain Dancers!

What a fun surprise I had last evening. My husband and I have been fans and supporters of The Mike Lee Band for a while now. Last night we received a video that Mike did singing a song about my blog. I felt very blessed by the song and the effort given by Mike to write and sing it. I hope you are blessed too. (click on the image below to watch the video)

Mike is a worship leader and Nashville recording artist from Fort Wayne, IN. He and his team travel and lead worship at conferences, retreats, and churches around the country. For more information, visit www.mikeleemusic.com

A couple of my favorite lines in the song:

“Even when it’s storming and it seems like it won’t ever stop…”

“I wanna dance in the rain, like I’m not waiting for a break.”

“…with faith enough to see this through.”

I want to dance in the rain like I’m not waiting for a break. (Even though I am). I love that.

Thank you for also for saying something about my “commitment to joy.” That was a surprise to me, but so good for me to hear that someone picked that up from my blog. Yes, I want to be committed to finding joy and contentment in Jesus, no matter what my circumstances.

Thanks so much, Mike, for this surprise gift. Michael and I are blessed to know you and your family.

I also want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May your Christmas be centered around Jesus and full of joy that bubbles up and even surprises you. No matter your circumstances, may you look at Jesus and remember that He came to save us. Immanuel, God with us, is reason to celebrate this Christmas season.

"Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen" - Jude verse 24-25

If you are an imperfect wife, mom, daughter, or friend, struggling to stay focused on God in the craziness and find joy in the heartache, then we have something in common. I am a recovering perfectionist and daughter of the King, slowly learning to fully trust the One who sees me just as I am, and is already pleased. I’m so glad you are here.
